Ramblings of a Redhead

Motherhood, Ministry, Marriage, and Messes along the way

Doctor, Dinner Theatre, and Dreaming…

Wow…that’s all I have to say. Our family has been going 100mph for a week now; it’s been crazy fun and exhausting. T’s been just as exhausted as us, which has made for some GREAT nights sleep.

We started off with some great news on Monday. Jared found out he is accepted to the Ph.D. program in Psychology and Counseling at NOBTS. I’m so proud, and he has mixed feelings. He’s relieved to know he got in, but kind of dreading more school. He knows it’s something he wants to do, though. In several more years I’ll be married to Dr. Thomas. Oo-la-la

Thursday and Friday was our More than a Fan dinner theatre. The early part of the week was dedicated to preparation, so I was at work pretty much every day, sometimes Turner was with me. It went very well! I was quite pleased. On my scale of 1-10, I’d say it was about a 6.5, only because there was SOOOOOOO much more I wanted to do with it, but it just didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. It was our first time doing something like this, so naturally there were some bumps in the road. We’ll know better for next time.

Saturday was a fun-filled day. Turner and I started the day off by going to the mall with Tiffany and Braxton to see the bunnies. They have live bunnies there for Easter. Unfortunately they were all sleeping, so there wasn’t much to see. But, both boys love strolling around the mall, so that was good. When we got back to campus, we went to FunFest. It’s sort of an annual block party – think hot dogs, snow balls, blow up games, volleyball, dunking booth etc. Turner slept through most of it, but woke up in time to enjoy some of the people. That night, Jared and I went on a dinner/movie date with some friends, it was a nice break.

Yesterday (Sunday) some of us from our Sunday School class went to help a church-plant with their official launch. We helped provide childcare. I helped teach the older kids until Turner had a melt-down in the nursery and I had to go get him. I’m feeling so guilty; he’s been very clingy lately. He’s had to be in the nursery or with a baby sitter so much the past week and  a half because of everything going on. BUT, once I get through this week, the two of us (poor Jared has to stay) are going on a lovely vacation to NC/SC. I get to be with mister T everyday for a week and a half! Woohoo!

On a side not, I’ve been having weird dreams lately…really really strange stuff. But anyway….

what have YOU been up to?
